Other Committee · Meeting of September 14, 2026

Revere's Zoning Subcommittee voted 5-0 to send a 24-hour towing permit at 885 North Shore Road to the City Council with an unfavorable recommendation. Attorney Niles Welch, representing 128 Towing and Recovery LLC, offered an eight-foot fence, a 20-vehicle cap and no overnight idling, but eight residents testified against the business, citing noise, safety and an unpermitted launch over the summer. Ward Councilor Garino-Sawaya said she "cannot, in good faith, support this application," citing the operator's history of running the business before receiving approval.

The panel also clashed over a fire department report citing "workers painting a vehicle," which the applicant denied. Separately, the subcommittee gave a favorable 5-0 recommendation to a second-floor addition at 269 Revere Street and continued a 191 Revere Street expansion over an unresolved drainage-pipe easement.
