Revere Disabilities Panel OKs Minutes, Sets Nov. 10 Meeting
Revere's Commission on Disabilities heard a public health update and clarified handicapped parking sign rules at its October 13 meeting.
Other Committee · Meeting of October 13, 2026
Revere's Commission on Disabilities heard a public health update and clarified handicapped parking sign rules at its October 13 meeting. City Public Health Director Lauren Buck said the homebound vaccine program now offers five shots — flu, high-dose flu, COVID-19, pneumonia and RSV — delivered by nurses visiting residents' homes through November. Buck said Revere's tuberculosis program only screens close contacts of confirmed cases, not the general public, and that emergency management remains solely under the fire department.
Member Jason Barone warned residents to track MassHealth appeal deadlines closely. Member Pauline Pernot said handicapped parking sign applications must now be submitted on paper only "because of all the cyber issues," with the Traffic Commission, not the disabilities commission, holding final decision authority at monthly public hearings. The commission corrected its own minutes' date and confirmed its next meeting for November 10.
