Revere License Commission approved five license applications in a brisk Tuesday session. Mayor's office event manager Rose Burns secured one-day malt and wine licenses for the city's October 3 Fall Festival beer garden at the Yard at Suffolk Downs, expected to draw up to 4,000 people, and for an October 10 scholarship-fund 5K road race, where commissioners agreed to extend alcohol service hours to 1 p.m. The commission also approved a one-day license with entertainment for a Washington Avenue parish's annual spaghetti dinner, extended Capri's nightly closing time from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. after City Councilor Ira Novoselsky testified "I don't hear any complaints from the neighbors," and cleared a change of ownership for Tio Juan Margarita's Mexican Restaurant.
All five votes passed unanimously by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
