REVERE — The Revere License Commission approved ten license applications and renewals at its August 19 meeting, despite operating with only two of its three members present. Approvals included a one-day entertainment license for Jesus Torres' September 19 fundraising concert at Father Brennan Parish Center, a Darts Army cornhole tournament at Griswold Park benefiting the Jimmy Fund, and a new Hampton Inn Revere manager, Cesar Cepeda, represented by attorney Dawson Cooper. The commission also approved a new malt wine package store license for Juan Rivera at Joe's Quick Marts #515 and a food truck license for DAR-DIFA at 61 Squire Road, but told the truck's operators, Rashida Tajmat and Nora Sharad, that any expanded hours or outdoor seating would require a new application through site plan review.
Atlantic Auto Body's Class II dealer license for 12 vehicles was renewed after the fire department confirmed prior compliance issues were resolved. A commissioner warned at the outset that "if there are any disputes that we can't come to an agreement on we're going to have to ask the parties to come back next month."
