REVERE — The Revere School Building Committee approved nearly $8.8 million in invoices for the city's high school project on July 15, despite a Zoom mishap that briefly split two members and part of the public onto a separate meeting link. Left Field representative Brian Johnson said the $395 million Consigli construction contract is 18 percent complete with only 3 percent contingency erosion, while Consigli's Darren reported the project tracking 44 days ahead of schedule with steel erection starting next week. Mayor Keefe said the city secured $150 million in bonds at 2.78 percent interest, below its 3 percent target, projecting close to $1 million a year in savings.
The committee also learned Deputy Principal Steve Canossi will replace outgoing Principal Christopher Bowen on the panel, and discussed a still-undesigned donor-recognition paver or wall program tied to the high school stabilization account.
