Other Committee · Meeting of October 5, 2026

Revere council subcommittees advanced a zoning change and two feasibility-study requests to the full council. The Zoning Subcommittee voted 3-0 to send a Planning Board-backed body art establishment zoning amendment forward, with Councilor Argenzio, Councilor Garino-Sawaya and Chairman Silvestri in favor. The Economic Development Subcommittee, chaired by Garino-Sawaya, voted 3-0 to request a feasibility study on free two-hour senior parking at meters, after Chief of Planning and Community Development Tom Skrowski cited neighboring Everett's new program and Councilor Silvestri warned "we're talking three bucks per person" across roughly 15 percent of the population.

The subcommittee also amended and forwarded, 3-0, a motion asking the mayor to "investigate the feasibility" of a municipal innovation pilot program, after Silvestri objected to language directly "establishing" it. Garino-Sawaya withdrew a separate motion on notifying new businesses of their ward councillor, citing a possible conflict of interest.
