Chelsea City Council referred a 20-year low-income solar order back to subcommittee. Councilors Taylor and Recupero opposed the contracts with two solar companies, while the city manager said declining would "pass on that opportunity to save residents money." The council voted 7-0, with four members absent, to authorize a chief economic development officer position, accept a preservation restriction on Temple Emanuel at 60 Tudor Street, and approve a solar net metering credit agreement the city manager said would save about $60,000 a year. A $3.2 million purchase at 260 Marginal Street went to Ways and Means.
A Broadway order of taking tied to $13 million in federal funds was split between a public hearing and the Traffic and Parking Commission.
