Zoning Board · Meeting of August 26, 2026

Revere's Zoning Board of Appeals voted 4-0 to approve a variance splitting a Liberty Avenue lot into two parcels. Attorney Larry Simeone, representing applicant Brandy Soto, told the board the existing 14,660-square-foot lot would become a 7,956-square-foot Lot A, keeping the existing colonial home, and a 7,064-square-foot Lot B fronting Breedens Lane for a new single-family house, both below the district's 8,000-square-foot minimum. Architect Doug Stefano called the planned two-story, two-car-garage home "a fairly simple project." Neighbor Philip Yolivera questioned driveway access near already-congested Liberty Avenue but was satisfied once told the new driveway would exit onto Breedens Lane.

A written objection from Lee Binda, 25 Breedon's Lane, was entered into the record but not read aloud, and one board member noted she was not present to substantiate her emergency-vehicle-access concern. Chairman Michael G. Tucker and members Lopes, O'Brien and Pratt all voted yes, with Limeneh and Pelton absent.
