Boston PFC Unanimously Approves Fire Station Easement, English High School Contract Extension

BOSTON — June 17, 2026 — Boston Public Facilities Commission approves three unanimous items, including a $337,500 English High School contract boost. The commission, comprising Commissioners Larry Mamoli and Donald Wright, cleared a pedestrian easement at the completed 44 Winter Street fire station in Dorchester — described by both members as a housekeeping closure of a November 2022 Public Improvement Commission grant — and added $337,500 to an NV5 Consultants Incorporated owner's project manager contract for English High School's window and door replacement project, extending the agreement through December 31, 2026 after curtain wall windows could not be manufactured in time for a 2025 installation. The commission also approved a sixth extension of the tentative developer designation for Cruise Development Corporation for vacant Roxbury parcels at 135 Dudley Street and 2430 and 2406 Washington Street, stretching the designation from 84 to 90 months; Mamoli noted the city's appraisal on file dates to June 2019, and Senior Development Officer Joe Backer confirmed a new appraisal has been ordered ahead of an expected conveyance vote within the six-month window.
