Boston Zoning Board of Appeals approves cannabis delivery warehouse in Grove Hall over organized neighborhood opposition. Sister Virginia Muhammad of the Grove Hall Neighborhood Development Corporation testified that at least eight local churches "vehemently object" to the siting, and Reverend Minyard Culpepper of Pleasant Old Baptist Church argued the approval would constitute illegal spot zoning under a 2022 Massachusetts Land Court ruling. The board approved with a proviso requiring aggressive BPDA facade design review aimed at preventing a "fortress" appearance along Blue Hill Avenue. In a separate action, the board unanimously denied without prejudice a proposal to build three townhouse units at 75R-75BR West Milton Street in Hyde Park, with BPDA's Jeff Hampton citing design incompatibility with the surrounding one-family district.
