BOSTON — July 18, 2026 — Boston PFC approves six land votes clearing affordable housing, parks, and school parcels across four neighborhoods. The Boston Public Facilities Commission voted unanimously on all six Mayor's Office of Housing items at its July 18 meeting, with Chair Catherine Craven and Commissioner Larry Momoli approving every item without dissent. The largest financial commitment was a $1,499,500 land cost subsidy backing MTK Development LLC's proposal for 15 income-restricted homeownership condominiums at 376-384 Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury, where the appraised land value of $1.5 million will be conveyed for $500. A second Blue Hill Avenue vote designated Mass Liberation Incorporated to develop the Harriet Tubman Freedom Park — raised garden beds, a stage, a sculpture garden, and a drum circle — with a $999,800 subsidy on land appraised at $1 million. Two intercity transfers finalized administrative handoffs long in the works: a renovated former library at 7 Bayswater Street in East Boston passed to the Property Management Department for use as a senior center under the Age Strong Commission, and a vacant parcel adjacent to the Clarence R. Edwards Middle School in Charlestown moved to Boston Public Schools for faculty parking and bus turnaround.
