Boston panel approves Dorchester sale, Roxbury project extension

Boston commission sells 48-year-vacant Dorchester lot, extends stalled Roxbury training project. The Public Facilities Commission voted 2-0 to convey a Willow Street parcel to 87-89 Mountain Ave, LLC for $55,100, with the deed carrying a permanent open-space restriction. Commissioners Larry Molli and Donald Wright also voted 2-0 to grant the People's Academy Inc. a six-month extension on its tentative developer designation for three Roxbury parcels, a project dating to 2019.
One commissioner said "it's been six years on this project" and pressed for visible progress before the next extension request. A separate ground-lease request to the U.S. Postal Service for a West Roxbury parcel was tabled at the Mayor's Office of Housing's request.
Project Manager Minh Nguyen presented the Dorchester sale; Housing Development Officer Tara Satchville presented the Roxbury extension.
