Team Grogan Wins 2022 Girls City League All-Star Game 55-35 at Madison Park
BOSTON — July 19, 2026 — Team Grogan defeats Team Dever 55-35 in the return of the Boston City League Girls All-Star Game. The 2022 contest at Madison Park High School in Roxbury was the first Girls City League All-Star Game since 2019 after three pandemic-canceled editions. CASH High School head coach Chase Grogan led Team Grogan to a wire-to-wire win, building a 16-3 lead after one quarter behind 15 points and nine rebounds from Lazaya Lobo of Boston United. Boston City League Player of the Year Jasmine Cox, a sophomore from John D. O'Brien High School, was honored at courtside and contributed seven rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and four assists despite scoring little. Veteran O'Brien coach Trudy Fisher was also recognized during the halftime ceremony with a BPS Athletic Department award for more than 30 years of service. Due to duplicate jersey numbers caused by each player wearing her own school uniform, Lobo was initially misidentified as player of the game; the award in fact went to CASH senior Bacasa Smith.
