Roslindale Farmer's Market Opens 2026 Season With Ribbon Cutting and Community Honors

BOSTON — July 19, 2026 — Boston's Roslindale Farmer's Market opened its 2026 season Saturday with a ribbon cutting at Roslindale Square, drawing Mayor Michelle Wu, four city councilors, State Representative Nika Elugardo, and several city department heads. The event was organized by Roslindale Village Main Street, whose Executive Director Anna Vannery-Mortell credited the Muncie Group as the organization's 2026 partner sponsor, alongside the Cooperative Bank and Sazama Real Estate. Chief of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion Shugun Aduwu highlighted a $5 million Wu administration investment in Main Streets programs citywide. RVMS Board President Vinny Fieg presented a plaque to Joe Partalecki, owner of Ace Hardware in Roslindale and the organization's founding president, marking 55 years in business; a formal resolution from Councilor Ricardo Arroyo's office is set to be read before the full City Council on Tuesday. Elugardo urged residents to recruit immigrant-owned and BIPOC-owned businesses as vendors, saying those businesses "are the majority now in Roslindale."
