BOSTON — July 22, 2026 — Boston's Omni Hotel at the Seaport opens as the city's first major new hotel in four decades, anchored by a minority-led ownership model. Governor Charlie Baker, Mayor Kim Janey, Congressman Stephen Lynch, and State Senator Nick Collins joined developers Jonathan Davis of the Davis Companies and former Massachusetts Transportation Secretary Richard Taylor at the ribbon cutting ceremony on the South Boston waterfront.
