Lee School Ends Mission's Perfect Season With 48-44 Victory in BNBL Play
BOSTON — July 22, 2026 — Lee School handed undefeated Mission its first BNBL loss, 48-44, in a boys' 15-and-under Game of the Week matchup at the Tobin Community Center in Mission Hill. Mission had entered the game at 7-0, but Lee School — motivated by a blowout loss to Mission earlier in the summer — controlled the boards and the late-game free throw line to earn the victory. Desmond Bellot, named co-Player of the Game, went six for six from the charity stripe and converted both free throws with six seconds remaining and Lee School leading by two, finishing with 10 points. A.J. DiBanasta, the other co-Player of the Game, added 11 points and five assists and was cited for vocal leadership throughout. Mission's Jaylen Harrell led all scorers with 19 points and eight rebounds, and Jamari Antoine's three-pointer with 27 seconds left briefly pulled Mission within two. Lee School head coach Eric Bradshaw said of the earlier defeat: "Last time we was embarrassed — credit to Mission — I just told my kids we gotta compete today and play defense, dig in."
