Hyde Park Art Association Marks 33rd Annual City Hall Show with Ceremony

BOSTON — July 19, 2026 — The Hyde Park Art Association held its 33rd annual City Hall Show on July 19, gathering artists and elected officials for an award ceremony at Boston City Hall. Mayor Wu, At-Large Councilor Ruth C. Louisian, and State Representative Rob Penzala presented certificates across three categories: Best in Show went to Al Wallstrom for "Late Coffee in a Sunny Chair"; first-place painting honors to Liasa Sienkowski for "Portrait of a Girl"; first-place other media to Sasha Lucas for "This Equals"; and first-place photography to Joni Lohr for "On the Dresser." The association, based at the Menino Art Center at 26 Central Ave. in Hyde Park, reported a membership of 98 and noted that state financial contributions have been critical to its continued operation since the pandemic.
