REVERE — The Revere Cultural Council voted unanimously to keep last year's grant-scoring rubric for its 2026 funding cycle, setting a 60-point threshold out of 100 for applications to advance. Chair Rocky Graziano said the council has received 29 applications totaling about $100,000 and 18 more in draft form worth roughly $25,000 ahead of the October 15 deadline, against a total grant pool of $45,900, up from $44,600 last year. The council also approved a policy to average the remaining four members' scores if one member does not submit a score, and voted to redirect a $2,100 reimbursement for a Revere High School Patriots voice project from the school to applicant Lauren Walford, who had covered the cost herself.
"What's the harm in applying and seeing what happens?" Graziano said, encouraging residents to submit grant requests before the deadline.
