Boston PFC Approves Eight Land Dispositions for Housing and Community Projects

BOSTON — July 19, 2026 — Boston's Public Facilities Commission unanimously approved all eight Mayor's Office of Housing votes at its July 19 meeting, advancing land dispositions and developer designations across Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury. Commissioner Larry Momoli led the meeting at the direction of Chair Catherine Craven, with Sheila Dillon, Chief and Director of the Mayor's Office of Housing, overseeing the eight-item agenda. Actions included a $32,000 parcel conveyance at 23 Dakota Street in Dorchester to Ronald and Siobhan Peters for use as yard space; a $94,500 tentative designation to Edwina J. Wynn for a landlocked Mattapan lot vacant more than 49 years; a $250,000 designation to Volnay Capital LLC for a 47-unit mixed-use rental project on Washington Street in Dorchester; and a $29,000 designation to the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute Corporation for a $15 million community healing and teaching center in Dorchester's Four Corners neighborhood. The commission also approved two six-month extensions — one for the Edward L. Cooper Community Gardening and Education Center in Roxbury, pending a water permit application, and one for Norfolk Scattered Sites LLC, which proposes seven affordable homes across Dorchester and Roxbury and has already secured a financing commitment from the Local Initiatives Support Corporation.
