Boston Property and Facilities Commission approves all seven DND land dispositions without dissent. The commission, presided over by T.T. Highlights included a $100 sale to EC Farm Incorporated for a permanent urban farm at 6 Chelsea Terrace in East Boston — saving the city an estimated $350 annually in maintenance — and a $200 sale of two River Street parcels in Mattapan, held by the city for more than 68 years, to the Boston Food Forest Coalition for the proposed Edgewater Food Forest. A 12-month extension of the tentative developer designation for a 30-unit senior affordable rental project at 150 River Street in Mattapan, backed by Caribbean Integration Community Development and the Planning Office for Urban Affairs, was approved while the team awaits a state DHCD funding award after one unsuccessful application.
