Boston Latin School Defeats Latin Academy 10-0 to Win Girls Soccer City Championship
BOSTON — July 22, 2026 — Boston Latin School's Wolfpack defeated Latin Academy 10-0 Saturday to claim the 2021 Fall 2 Boston City League Girls Soccer Championship at Carter Field in Roxbury. The victory ended Latin Academy's three-year title streak and their run of seven consecutive city championship appearances, the last previous loss in the final coming in 2016. Junior Reagan O'Brien led all scorers with four goals, while senior Rachel Kim contributed a goal and three assists to pace the Wolfpack offense, which put seven different players on the scoresheet. Boston Latin, normally a Dual County League program, competed in the city league this season under pandemic travel restrictions and entered the final undefeated, having beaten Latin Academy twice in the regular season by a combined score of 14-0. Final stats showed the Wolfpack with 19 shots on goal to Latin Academy's zero; Latin Academy goalkeeper Sadie Sheever made nine saves, with head coach Kara Stafford rotating three keepers across the afternoon.
